Welcome to Fruitful Midwifery, where I am dedicated to providing holistic gynecological care, prenatal and postpartum care, and the unique experience of home births. As a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), I hold a special distinction in Connecticut's healthcare landscape. My approach centers on personalization, education, empowerment, and true informed consent.

My journey into midwifery started with the pursuit of a family medicine degree. I aspired to provide comprehensive care, understanding individuals as whole beings and guiding their health journeys. However, discovering the world of nurse midwifery redirected my path.

My nursing career began in a community hospital, where I cared for individuals across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. I personally experienced the beauty of a freestanding birth center for my first child, igniting my passion. While completing my midwifery degree, I worked as a birth assistant nurse in a birth center, later joining as a staff midwife.

With three and a half years of experience, including hospital and birth center births, I established Fruitful Midwifery, specializing in home births, following my own home birth experience. As one of two licensed Certified Nurse Midwives attending home births in Connecticut, I bring a wealth of knowledge. My commitment is to provide personalized, honest, and comprehensive care.

Connecticut's options for licensed home birth providers are extremely limited, with only one other provider. Accessibility to a spectrum of healthcare providers, including physicians, licensed midwives, and community midwives, is crucial. Fruitful midwifery challenges the norms of gynecological care by offering individualized, goal-centered, and compassionate care.
